BRING A FRIEND ON FRIDAY

 October 24, 2001 (BOSTON) - Any great performance is enhanced by sharing the experience with a friend.  With that in mind, Boston Ballet introduces "Bring a Friend on Friday" -- dance enthusiasts get two tickets for the price of one for Boston Ballet's performances on Fridays.

For the current production of FROM DISTANT SHORES -- three contemporary ballets, including two Boston premieres -- details of the promotion are as follows:

- Buy 2 tickets for the price of 1. Mention the Bring a Friend on Friday promotion to participate. - Valid on Friday, October 26, 2001 and Friday, November 2, 2001, both at 8pm - Limit of 2 tickets per person -  Tickets subject to availability - Purchase only in person at The Wang Theatre Box Office, 270 Tremont Street in Boston, day of performance.  No phone or Internet orders.  Box office opens at 10am. - Not valid on previously purchased tickets - Not valid in seating section one - Cannot be combined with any other offer or Student Rush

Boston Ballet presents From Distant Shores, a program of three contemporary dance works inspired by Europe, created by choreographers Rudi van Dantzig, Nacho Duato and Lila York.  From Distant Shores features two Boston premieres, van Dantzig's "Ginastera" and Duato's "Jardi Tancat," and the return of an audience favorite, York's "Celts" which had its world premiere with Boston Ballet in 1996.

Bring a Friend on Friday will continue throughout the 2001-2002 season for regular productions following The Nutcracker, including "Giselle", "American Trilogy" and "Madame Butterfly".  Please visit www.bostonballet.org for more details.
