The South Dakota Symphony’s Chamber Orchestra Will Perform October 26

All-Mozart Program Held at Belbas Theater

The South Dakota Symphony will present its first Chamber Series concert of the 2001-2002 Season on Friday, October 26 at 7:00pm in the Belbas Theater at the Washington Pavilion.  The all-Mozart program will include familiar favorites such as “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik”, “Divertimento for Strings”, “Symphony no. 29”, and “Symphony no. 26”.  Dakota Wind Quintet members, Chris Hill and Katherine Vogele will be featured in Mozart’s “Clarinet Quintet” and “Flute Concerto”.

Chamber Music is composed for a smaller group of musicians and is ideal for performances in a private room or small concert hall.  The concerts highlight the musicians’ talents in an atmosphere that allows the listener to fully appreciate the beauty and precision of orchestral music. We hope you can enjoy this intimate concert experience with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra Chamber Musicians.

Tickets for the Chamber Orchestra concert are available by calling the Symphony Office at 335-7933.  Or, walk-up sales will be available at the door.  Seating for the Chamber Concerts in the Belbas Theater is general admission.  Tickets are $20 for Adults, $18 for Seniors, and $8 for Students.  Season tickets for the 2001-2002 Chamber Series are also available.  Upcoming events include: November 25 with the Dakota String Quartet and Dakota Wind Quintet, February 8 with the Chamber Orchestra, April 7 with the Dakota String Quartet and Dakota Wind Quintet, and May 17 with the Chamber Orchestra.
